Can A Robot Make Coffee?

As part of Loupe Labs, the experimental R&D division of the company, I had the opportunity to work on a creative-first project designed to showcase the potential of automation in everyday tasks. This experiment involved an ABB Cobot—a tabletop robot known for its ease of programming. We challenged ourselves to demonstrate it's capabilities by automating a familiar, relatable task: making a cup of coffee. This project highlighted the exciting possibilities of Cobot technology while showcasing Loupe Labs’ research-focused approach. It was a playful yet purposeful exploration of how cutting-edge robotics can intersect with the routines of daily life.
